Outputs
RISE-Health researchers have consistently produced high-quality, innovative, and impactful science. Globally, from 2018 to 2023, our researchers published almost 7,000 articles, mostly in Q1/Q2 journals, accumulating over 100,000 citations. These outputs reflect all stages of translational research, from pre-clinical to clinical studies.
The relevance of our contributions to biomedical and health sciences must also be measured by their impact on clinical practice and their ability to support and change how healthcare is practised and organised. A key indicator of this impact is having the science we produce cited by the best international clinical guidelines of major scientific and professional organisations, which are major drivers of change in healthcare.
A significant proportion of the knowledge and technology generated was transferred to society. Eleven spin-off companies were created, a dozen patents were registered, and multiple prototypes and tools were developed to innovatively address health-related and societal problems.
