News / RISE-Health Researcher Re-elected President of the Portuguese Society for Stem Cells and Cell Therapy
The specialist will continue the work he has been developing in the leadership of the organisation, a position he has held since 2024.
Last November, researcher Liliana Bernardino (RISE-Health/UBI) was re-elected as president of the Portuguese Society for Stem Cells and Cell Therapy (SPCE-TC), a position she has held since 2024.
In parallel with this re-election, which took place at the 14th International Congress of SPCE-TC, the specialist from the RISE-Health Research Unit also serves as Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Society.
It is worth remembering that the Portuguese Society for Stem Cells and Cell Therapy is a non-profit scientific association dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of knowledge on stem cells and cell therapy.
Structured in three sections – Stem Cell Science and Technology, Cell Therapies and Tissue Engineering, and Ethical, Legal and Social Aspects – SPCE-TC promotes scientific meetings, encourages and trains new researchers, stimulates interaction with the media and organises public awareness campaigns.
