RISE-Health is organizing the 2nd edition of RISE Students’ Day

The initiative aims to help young researchers advance their scientific careers.

The RISE-Health Research Unit will host the 2nd edition of RISE Students Day on April 30 at the University of Porto’s Faculty of Medicine.

Under the theme “Health Research and Innovation,” this initiative by the RISE-Health Doctoral Student Committee will challenge young students to share the scientific work they have been developing.

The 2nd edition of the event will feature David Siqueira Magboulé, founder of LabtoMarket, through which he has supported over 200 startups, researchers, and clinicians in bringing their ideas to market. At RISE Students’ Day 2026, the University of Nottingham expert will discuss the process of building a personal brand, while also addressing the importance of maximizing the impact of each scientific project.

The RISE Students’ Day program includes “Mentors’ Bingo!”, an activity designed to foster scientific communication, critical thinking, and networking. The “RISE Roundtables: Between Academia, Clinical Practice and Industry” will challenge participants to address scientific problems.

Admission to the event is a symbolic fee of five euros. Secure your spot here.
