News / RISE Health Research Journal – New Platform for Scientific Dissemination
New identity will consolidate the role of RISE-Health and FMUP in promoting scientific research excellence.
The RISE Health Research Unit and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) announce the launch of the RISE Health Research Journal, the new scientific journal that replaces the Porto Biomedical Journal (PBJ), continuing and evolving the project that began a decade ago.
Through the RISE Health Research Journal, RISE Health and FMUP reinforce their commitment to editorial quality, innovation and the international visibility of the science and research produced by their researchers.
Led by Fernando Schmitt, director of the RISE-Health Research Unit and Professor at FMUP, who now assumes the role of Editor-in-Chief, the revamped scientific journal has Pedro Gomes as Deputy Editor, as well as new Associate Editors who are leaders in biomedical and clinical areas, who will contribute to the scientific rigour and international projection of the journal.
The new editorial team will enable the RISE Health Research Journal to obtain, for the first time, its Impact Factor and indexing in the Web of Science, ensuring the consolidation of the renewed journal of RISE-Health and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto.
The RISE Health Research Journal has the seal of quality of Wolters Kluwer, a renowned international scientific publisher, and continues to be published bimonthly and exclusively in English. In addition, the renewed version of the journal is available in open access, promoting the free circulation of scientific knowledge and encouraging global collaboration.
We invite researchers from FMUP, RISE-Health and other national and international institutions to submit their work and participate in this new stage of growth and affirmation.
More information about the journal and the submission of scientific studies can be found on the journal’s website.
