The RISE-Health Research Unit is one of the partners of the 5th International Nursing Care Meeting, which will take place on 9 and 10 December at the Viseu School of Health.

Under the motto ‘The interface between humanisation and technology’, the event will bring together researchers and health professionals to discuss the latest advances in nursing and the relationship between humanisation and technology for nursing care in various international health contexts.

Ana Paula Cantante, a researcher at RISE-Health (RISE-Health/ESEP), will address the topic of ‘Sustainability and Community.’ Henriqueta Ilda Fernandes (RISE-Health/ESEP) and Maria Isabel Costa (RISE-Health/IPV) will moderate discussions focused on ‘Sustainability and the Environment’ and ‘Ethical Issues in the Face of Technological Innovation.’

The 5th International Nursing Care Meeting will also feature workshops and short courses dedicated to basic life support for children and adults, as well as the prevention of skin injuries in newborns. The ‘Individualised Care Programme and Newborn Development Assessment – NIDCAP’ is also part of the event’s training proposals.

The initiative, which will take place in a hybrid format, has Isabel Bica (RISE-Health/IPV), Henriqueta Ilda Fernandes, Ana Paula Cantante and Luísa Costa Andrade (RISE-Health/ESEP) on the Organising Committee. Júlia Neto and Carlos Sequeira (RISE-Health/ESEP) are members of the Scientific Committee for the fifth edition of the initiative.
