The RISE-Health Unit, through its PhD Student Committee, will organize the RISE Students Day. The event, aimed at students from the largest research unit in the country, will take place at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP).

The initiative will kick off at 8h30 with “Poster Bingo: Discover & Connect!”, an activity that aims to foster scientific communication, critical thinking, and networking.

Under the motto “Building Science, Sharing the Future”, the event led by the PhD Student Committee (CED) of RISE-Health will feature a presentation by Pedro Resende, co-founder of Chaperone, an online platform created to enhance the careers of scientists and academics.

The RISE Students Day program also includes a roundtable discussion in which participants will be challenged to respond to scientific problems. The solutions developed by the participants will be presented in the activity “FlashPitch – Present your solution in 3 minutes,” contributing to the development of their ability to synthesize, speak in public, be creative, and transmit knowledge in an accessible and impactful way.
