class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u00a0<\/p><p>A <strong>doen\u00e7a do p\u00e9 relacionada com a diabetes \u00e9 uma patologia com elevada preval\u00eancia a n\u00edvel mundial<\/strong>, estimando-se que entre 5 e 25% das pessoas com diabetes desenvolvam \u00falceras nos p\u00e9s, enfrentando um elevado risco de infe\u00e7\u00f5es e amputa\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p><p>De forma a combater o impacto desta condi\u00e7\u00e3o, um estudo nacional, <strong>com a participa\u00e7\u00e3o do RISE-Health<\/strong>, prop\u00f5e \u201co desenvolvimento de uma aplica\u00e7\u00e3o m\u00f3vel centrada no apoio ao autocuidado em pessoas com diabetes mellitus tipo 2\u201d.<\/p><p>Atualmente, o diagn\u00f3stico e tratamento da doen\u00e7a do p\u00e9 relacionado com a diabetes \u00e9 feito atrav\u00e9s da \u201cvigil\u00e2ncia ao p\u00e9 do doente e an\u00e1lise dos problemas que a pessoa possa apresentar, nomeadamente a neuropatia perif\u00e9rica, doen\u00e7a arterial perif\u00e9rica, infe\u00e7\u00e3o e \u00falcera\u201d, explica <strong>Maria Rui de Sousa, investigadora do RISE-Health<\/strong>.<\/p><p>\u201cO desenvolvimento de uma aplica\u00e7\u00e3o como a iGest Diabetes, que est\u00e1 integrado no iGestSa\u00fade, iniciativa da Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto (ESEP), pretende apoiar o autocuidado das pessoas com diabetes\u201d, real\u00e7a Maria Rui de Sousa, acrescentando que a ado\u00e7\u00e3o da aplica\u00e7\u00e3o permitir\u00e1 \u201cpromover habilidades que permitam a preven\u00e7\u00e3o de complica\u00e7\u00f5es e, muitas vezes, a dete\u00e7\u00e3o precoce\u201d.<\/p><p>No <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.lww.com\/cinjournal\/abstract\/9900\/mobile_application_prototype_for_foot_self_care.303.aspx\">trabalho publicado na revista <em>CIN: Computers, Informatics, Nursing<\/em><\/a>, as autoras referem que o desenvolvimento da aplica\u00e7\u00e3o contempla uma ampla sec\u00e7\u00e3o de conte\u00fado educativo, destacando \u201co papel destes conte\u00fados na forma\u00e7\u00e3o das pessoas para as pr\u00e1ticas de autocuidado dos p\u00e9s, enfatizando a sua capacidade de melhorar os conhecimentos e promover h\u00e1bitos saud\u00e1veis\u201d.<\/p><p>Na vis\u00e3o de Maria Rui de Sousa, o \u201ccontrolo glic\u00e9mico e o controlo dos l\u00edpidos e da press\u00e3o arterial s\u00e3o aspetos fundamentais para preservar as fun\u00e7\u00f5es neurol\u00f3gica vascular\u201d, aponta, referindo ainda que o autocuidado por parte dos doentes \u00e9, igualmente, um passo importante para a preven\u00e7\u00e3o e tratamento da doen\u00e7a do p\u00e9 relacionado com a diabetes.<\/p><p>O artigo \u201c<em>Mobile Application Prototype for Foot Self-care Support for Persons With Diabetes: A Human-Centered Design Approach<\/em>\u201d \u00e9 assinado por Geysa Lopes, Maria Jos\u00e9 Lumini Landeiro e Maria Rui de Sousa, as duas \u00faltimas investigadoras do RISE-Health. O presente artigo cient\u00edfico est\u00e1 inserido na tese de doutoramento de Geysa Lopes, estudante do <a href=\"https:\/\/rise-health.pt\/pt-pt\/home\/education\/\">Programa Doutoral em Ci\u00eancias de Enfermagem<\/a> do Instituto de Ci\u00eancias Biom\u00e9dicas Abel Salazar da Universidade do Porto
