Para al\u00e9m do RISE-Health, que conta com 637 investigadores integrados, a lista inclui ainda o i3S &#8211; Instituto de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e Inova\u00e7\u00e3o em Sa\u00fade da Universidade do Porto (com 415 investigadores) e o INESC TEC &#8211; Instituto de Engenharia de Sistemas e Computadores, Tecnologia e Ci\u00eancia (com 358).<\/p><p>A nova Unidade de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o RISE-Health apresentou a sua candidatura no dia 17 de abril. Este documento refere que \u201ca principal miss\u00e3o do RISE-Health \u00e9 realizar investiga\u00e7\u00e3o cl\u00ednica e translacional interdisciplinar, inovadora e de elevada qualidade, com impacto na comunidade, num vasto leque de \u00e1reas cl\u00ednicas e dom\u00ednios cient\u00edficos que v\u00e3o desde as ci\u00eancias cardiovasculares \u00e0s neuroci\u00eancias, passando pelo metabolismo e farmacologia cl\u00ednica\u201d.<\/p><p>O objetivo da nova Unidade \u00e9 tornar-se \u201cum exemplo de desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel do Sistema Cient\u00edfico Nacional\u201d, \u201cestabelecendo uma refer\u00eancia (inter)nacional, atraindo talentos e aumentando a massa cr\u00edtica de recursos humanos e materiais, inspirando e promovendo a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica, orientando a mobilidade dos investigadores e expandindo a experi\u00eancia colectiva orientada para a obten\u00e7\u00e3o de resultados inovadores\u201d.<\/p><p><strong>7 Linhas Tem\u00e1ticas e 35 Grupos de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong><\/p><p>Para o efeito, o RISE-Health ser\u00e1 organizado em <strong>7 linhas tem\u00e1ticas<\/strong> (4 linhas verticais e 3 linhas horizontais). As <strong>4 linhas verticais<\/strong> representam dom\u00ednios espec\u00edficos da medicina (TL1: Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o Cl\u00ednica e Translacional em Ci\u00eancias Cardiovasculares; TL2: Neuroci\u00eancias; TL3: Metabolismo, Hormonas e Inflama\u00e7\u00e3o e TL4: Cuidados Hospitalares e Resultados Cl\u00ednicos) e as <strong>3 linhas horizontais<\/strong> (TL5: Alvos Terap\u00eauticos e Inova\u00e7\u00e3o Biom\u00e9dica; TL6: Transforma\u00e7\u00e3o Digital e Ci\u00eancia de Dados e TL7: Preven\u00e7\u00e3o e Sa\u00fade Comunit\u00e1ria) <strong>reflectem diferentes metodologias de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o translacional que abrangem todos os t\u00f3picos de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o m\u00e9dica<\/strong>.<\/p><p>A liderar estas 7 linhas tem\u00e1ticas estar\u00e3o alguns dos <strong>nomes mais proeminentes da ci\u00eancia em Portugal nas suas respectivas \u00e1reas<\/strong>, nomeadamente Adelino Leite Moreira, Elsa Azevedo, Lu\u00eds Taborda Barata, Cristina Granja, Paulo Correia de S\u00e1, Lu\u00eds Azevedo e Elisa Keating.<\/p><p>Os <a href=\"https:\/\/sigarra.up.pt\/fmup\/pt\/noticias_geral.ver_noticia?p_nr=93899\"><strong>1349 investigadores<\/strong><\/a> desta nova Unidade de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o (637 integrados e 712 colaboradores) estar\u00e3o a partir de agora distribu\u00eddos pelas diferentes linhas, que se subdividem em <strong>35 grupos de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong>, com o objetivo de promover a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o cl\u00ednica e translacional, a sa\u00fade digital e intelig\u00eancia artificial, as biotecnologias e inova\u00e7\u00e3o biom\u00e9dica, a sa\u00fade comunit\u00e1ria e a investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em enfermagem.<\/p><p><strong>Dimens\u00e3o, \u00e2mbito e impacto<\/strong><\/p><p>A nova Unidade de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o RISE-Health destaca-se n\u00e3o s\u00f3 pela sua dimens\u00e3o e \u00e2mbito &#8211; disciplinar e geogr\u00e1fico &#8211; mas tamb\u00e9m pelo impacto dos resultados alcan\u00e7ados pelos investigadores que a comp\u00f5em.<\/p><p>No \u00e2mbito da prepara\u00e7\u00e3o da candidatura, foi poss\u00edvel verificar que o corpo de investigadores que agora integram a nova Unidade esteve na base, nos \u00faltimos 6 anos, de cerca de 7.000 publica\u00e7\u00f5es indexadas, totalizando mais de 100.000 cita\u00e7\u00f5es (mais de 60% em revistas Q1 e Q2). No total, foram atribu\u00eddos mais de 32 milh\u00f5es de euros em concursos p\u00fablicos para financiamento de projectos cient\u00edficos e registados mais de 1150 estudos cl\u00ednicos, envolvendo cerca de 30 000 participantes.<\/p><p>Em termos de forma\u00e7\u00e3o, os investigadores do RISE-Sa\u00fade lideraram 17 programas de doutoramento, 32 programas de mestrado e 611 cursos de forma\u00e7\u00e3o cont\u00ednua entre 2018 e 2023.<\/p><p>Os investigadores do RISE-Health tamb\u00e9m se destacaram pelo seu impacto na sociedade durante o per\u00edodo em avalia\u00e7\u00e3o. O seu trabalho e opini\u00f5es de especialistas foram mencionados em cerca de 10.000 not\u00edcias publicadas em meios de comunica\u00e7\u00e3o nacionais e internacionais. Nos \u00faltimos 6 anos, os investigadores desta nova Unidade registaram ainda 14 spin-offs e 51 patentes ou outros t\u00edtulos de propriedade intelectual.<\/p><p><strong>Fus\u00e3o sem precedentes<\/strong><\/p><p>O RISE-Health \u00e9 o resultado da <a href=\"https:\/\/sigarra.up.pt\/fmup\/pt\/noticias_geral.ver_noticia?p_nr=92799\">fus\u00e3o<\/a> do <a href=\"https:\/\/cintesis.eu\/en\/home\/\">CINTESIS<\/a> &#8211; Centro de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em Tecnologias e Servi\u00e7os de Sa\u00fade, da UnIC &#8211; Unidade de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e Desenvolvimento Cardiovascular, do MedInUP &#8211; Centro de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o Farmacol\u00f3gica e Inova\u00e7\u00e3o em F\u00e1rmacos e do CICS-UBI &#8211; Centro de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em Ci\u00eancias da Sa\u00fade.<\/p><p>Com sede na FMUP, esta nova unidade de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o ter\u00e1 centros de gest\u00e3o em 5 unidades org\u00e2nicas da U. Porto. Porto (Instituto de Ci\u00eancias Biom\u00e9dicas Abel Salazar e Faculdades de Farm\u00e1cia, Medicina Dent\u00e1ria, Ci\u00eancias e Nutri\u00e7\u00e3o), para al\u00e9m de 11 outras, nomeadamente em 5 universidades p\u00fablicas (Universidade de Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Algarve, Aveiro, Beira Interior e Madeira) e 2 institui\u00e7\u00f5es de ensino superior privadas (Universidades Fernando Pessoa e Portucalense), 3 Escolas de Enfermagem (Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto, Escola Superior de Sa\u00fade de Santa Maria e Escola Superior de Enfermagem do IP Santar\u00e9m) e a Escola Superior de Sa\u00fade do Polit\u00e9cnico do Porto.<\/p><p>No \u00e2mbito do <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fct.pt\/avaliacao-das-unidades-de-id-2023-2024\/\">atual processo de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o do Programa Plurianual de Financiamento de Unidades de I&amp;D<\/a> da <strong>Funda\u00e7\u00e3o para a Ci\u00eancia e a Tecnologia (FCT)<\/strong>, a pr\u00f3xima fase envolve uma visita virtual dos avaliadores.
