O principal objetivo da Linha Tem\u00e1tica 5 \u2013 Transla\u00e7\u00e3o Cl\u00ednica de Alvos Moleculares e Medicamentos Inovadores<\/i><\/b> \u00e9 identificar e desenvolver projetos de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o multidisciplinares orientados para doen\u00e7as e programas de I&D pioneiros sobre descoberta de f\u00e1rmacos, inova\u00e7\u00e3o farmacol\u00f3gica, farmac\u00eautica e biotecnol\u00f3gica, terapias celulares regenerativas e medicina personalizada. <\/p>\n

Coordenada por Paulo Correia de S\u00e1, esta linha tem\u00e1tica assenta na colabora\u00e7\u00e3o de especialistas de um vasto espetro da biomedicina fundamental e de especialidades cl\u00ednicas, algo fundamental para a transla\u00e7\u00e3o das descobertas das ci\u00eancias b\u00e1sicas em estrat\u00e9gias terap\u00eauticas mais efetivas e para a valida\u00e7\u00e3o de novos biomarcadores de doen\u00e7as. <\/p>\n

As compet\u00eancias centrais da LT5 s\u00e3o: (i) ensaios bioqu\u00edmicos\/imunol\u00f3gicos\/biofarmac\u00eauticos de alta precis\u00e3o para o rastreio de medicamentos e a otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o de fun\u00e7\u00f5es, um painel completo de c\u00e9lulas isoladas e ensaios \u201cin vitro\u201d baseados em tecidos para ensaio de medicamentos, incluindo bioimagem funcional avan\u00e7ada, (iii) compet\u00eancias biofarmac\u00eauticas em sistemas inovadores de administra\u00e7\u00e3o de medicamentos, (iv) modelos animais farmacol\u00f3gicos, toxicol\u00f3gicos e gen\u00e9ticos de doen\u00e7as humanas para ensaios pr\u00e9-cl\u00ednicos \u201cin vivo\u201d e (v) compet\u00eancias em farmacologia cl\u00ednica para conceber e realizar ensaios cl\u00ednicos em seres humanos.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Paulo Correia de S\u00e1 coordena a LT5 \u2013 Transla\u00e7\u00e3o Cl\u00ednica de Alvos Moleculares e Medicamentos Inovadores<\/b>\u00a0do RISE-Health.<\/p>

Licenciou-se em Medicina pelo\u00a0ICBAS-Universidade do Porto<\/a> em 1988 e fez o Internato M\u00e9dico no Hospital Geral de Santo Ant\u00f3nio (Porto, 1989-90), tornando-se especialista em Ortopedia e Traumatologia (CHVN Gaia, 1994-99). No \u00e2mbito do doutoramento, fez forma\u00e7\u00e3o (bolsa de doutoramento JNICT) em Ci\u00eancias Biom\u00e9dicas \u2013 Farmacologia, de 1991 a 1994, no ICBAS-UP. No ICBAS, foi Professor Assistente (2000-2004) e Professor Associado (2004-2007) e, atualmente, \u00e9 Professor Catedr\u00e1tico. \u00c9 tamb\u00e9m Professor Catedr\u00e1tico Convidado da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade Eduardo Mondlane em Maputo, Mo\u00e7ambique.<\/p>

Eleito Diretor do Laborat\u00f3rio de Farmacologia & Neurobiologia, acumulou este cargo com a Dire\u00e7\u00e3o do Departamento de Imuno-Fisiologia e Farmacologia desde 2000 at\u00e9 2019, tendo sido reeleito em 2023. \u00c9 Vice-Presidente do Conselho Cient\u00edfico do ICBAS-UP desde 2022. Desempenhou v\u00e1rios outros cargos acad\u00e9micos.<\/p>

Foi Coordenador da Unidade Multidisciplinar de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o Biom\u00e9dica (UMIB) de 2005 a 2014. Foi designado coordenador local do Centro de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o Farmacol\u00f3gica e Inova\u00e7\u00e3o Medicamentosa da Universidade do Porto (MedInUP) em 2015. Foi Presidente e Vice-presidente da Sociedade Portuguesa de Farmacologia e membro da Dire\u00e7\u00e3o da Sociedade Portuguesa de Neuroci\u00eancias.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
