Coordenada por Adelino Leite-Moreira, a Linha Tem\u00e1tica 1 \u2013 Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o Cl\u00ednica e Translacional em Doen\u00e7as Cardiovasculares<\/i><\/strong> foca-se na investiga\u00e7\u00e3o cl\u00ednica e translacional em doen\u00e7as cardiovasculares, que continuam a liderar as causas de morte e incapacidade em Portugal e nos pa\u00edses europeus.<\/p>

Esta linha tem\u00e1tica colmata uma lacuna nacional na investiga\u00e7\u00e3o cl\u00ednica e translacional nesta \u00e1rea, perseguindo uma estrat\u00e9gia de juntar investigadores b\u00e1sicos e cl\u00ednicos, cientistas de dados, engenheiros e outros colaboradores.<\/p>

Recorrendo a laborat\u00f3rios e recursos partilhados, e beneficiando de uma forte colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com hospitais e biobancos, a LT1 pretende cobrir um vasto leque de t\u00f3picos e estabelecer uma perspetiva mais ampla atrav\u00e9s de uma abordagem \u201cdo laborat\u00f3rio para a cabeceira do doente e de volta ao laborat\u00f3rio\u201d.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Adelino Leite-Moreira coordena a Linha Tem\u00e1tica 1 \u2013 Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o Cl\u00ednica e Translacional em Doen\u00e7as Cardiovasculares do RISE-Health. \u00c9 Professor Catedr\u00e1tico de Fisiologia e Cirurgia Cardiotor\u00e1cica na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto (FMUP)<\/a>, Diretor do Departamento de Fisiologia e Cirurgia Cardiotor\u00e1cica e Presidente do Conselho Cient\u00edfico. Na FMUP, tem sido o Coordenador da UnIC.<\/p>

Graduou-se em Medicina em 1989, na FMUP, e, entre 1991 e 1994, fez forma\u00e7\u00e3o como investigador no Departamento de Fisiologia e Medicina da Universidade de Antu\u00e9rpia, na B\u00e9lgica, onde desenvolveu o seu interesse na \u00e1rea da fun\u00e7\u00e3o diast\u00f3lica e insufici\u00eancia card\u00edaca com fra\u00e7\u00e3o de eje\u00e7\u00e3o preservada. Foi nesta \u00e1rea que fez o seu doutoramento, em 1997. Em 2003, completou a sua forma\u00e7\u00e3o m\u00e9dica como cirurgi\u00e3o cardiotor\u00e1cico no Hospital de S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o, onde \u00e9 atualmente Consultor S\u00e9nior de Cirurgia Cardiotor\u00e1cica. <\/p>

Tem um interesse particular em inova\u00e7\u00e3o cir\u00fargica e t\u00e9cnica e \u00e9 especializado nas \u00e1reas de cirurgia da v\u00e1lvula a\u00f3rtica e reparta\u00e7\u00e3o da v\u00e1lvula mitral, cirurgia a\u00f3rtica e da raiz da aorta, cirurgia minimamente invasiva da v\u00e1lvula a\u00f3rtica e cirurgia de bypass coron\u00e1rio sem circula\u00e7\u00e3o extracorporal. Al\u00e9m da cirurgia cardiotor\u00e1cica, fun\u00e7\u00e3o diast\u00f3lica e insufici\u00eancia card\u00edaca, os seus interesses de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o incluem tamb\u00e9m a fun\u00e7\u00e3o ventricular direita e a hipertens\u00e3o pulmonar. <\/p>

Ao longo dos anos, foi autor de mais de 400 artigos completos publicados em prestigiadas revistas internacionais, obteve mais de 12 milh\u00f5es de euros em concursos competitivos e foi distinguido com v\u00e1rios pr\u00e9mios cient\u00edficos de relevo.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
